I actually said hello to the world for the first time almost 31 years ago… March 28, 1978 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Yep, I turn 31 this next weekend. I don’t exactly know how this happened, but I guess if you keep waking up every morning, you keep getting older. I don’t really feel like I should be turning 31, but I do feel like I’ve lived a lot of life in those years.
Turning 30 last year wasn’t that big of a deal for me. I didn’t wake up crying or bemoaning getting older. I had already slimmed down after having Mykah and I was feeling pretty good about turning the big 3-0. I told myself that I was going to embrace my 30’s even more than I had my 20’s. If you know me at all, you know I haven’t exactly been a slacker in my 20’s, so this was going to be sort of a fun challenge trying to live in such a way as to keep “topping” myself. I honestly just feel that each year matters and I want to make the most of each one.
This past year, the first of my 30’s, has been nothing short of an adventure. However, that’s a story for another day and another blog, but it’s definitely been an adventure! And in the midst of absolutely loving my life in Stoney Creek now, I find I am back into sort of a routine, getting comfortable. So it’s time to push myself. Again.
As I am turning 31 this week, I think it’s time I start a new journey. I think it’s time to start a blog.
